Cancer Care West wins Best Community Impact Award

Thu, May 09, 2024

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Galway have announced the winners of their annual Friendly Business Awards and Cancer Care West is delighted to be chosen as the winner of the Community Impact category.

The awards recognise businesses that go the extra mile and provide an outstanding service to their customers and their community at large. Businesses were assessed by local mystery shoppers as well as a public vote which accounted for 30% of the overall score. Independent judges then assessed each nominee and their scores were added to make the final tally and decide on the winners. Small organisations like Cancer Care West play a huge role in the development of their local community.

The charity provides vital cancer support services to over 3,000 people ever year making them one of the leading cancer support organisations in the West of Ireland.
