What is CoDA?

CoDA is an international 12-Step program with many thousands of participants worldwide. Co-Dependents Anonymous, Inc. is the organization that guides our spiritual Fellowship using our Twelve Steps and our Twelve Traditions. All of the recognized regional and local meetings conform to these guidelines creating commonality worldwide. The primary website for this organization is at www.CoDA.org. Much more information and literature is available at this extensive website and, starting with the Newcomers link on the homepage, we recommend that you thoroughly explore it!

ANCoR CoDA Organization

ANCoR (Arizona North/Central CoDA Region) is part of the service structure of CoDA in Arizona, and is commonly referred to in Twelve Step parlance as an intergroup. It is the next higher level in CoDA above the meeting level. The intergroup serves the CoDA meetings within its area. Individual CoDA meetings elect a Group Service Representative (GSR) to speak for them at the intergroup and help make decisions through the group conscience method. The intergroup has officers and committees that help the area meetings in various ways. Please click this link to go to the ANCoR webpage to learn more about what they do for the regional CoDA Fellowship. They are always looking for increased participation from the Fellowship.

The ANCoR committees listed below provide service to the regional Fellowship. They are responsible for abiding by CoDA’s Twelve Traditions, and making reports at each meeting of the intergroup.

The Arizona Events Committee organizes and sponsors online and live workshops to provide people with options to explore and deepen their CoDA recovery. Please click this link to go to the Arizona Events Committee page for more information about the committee. Scheduled upcoming events can be seen on our CoDA Workshops and Events page and archives of past workshops can be viewed or listened to at the Arizona Events Committee Workshop Library. We’d love to have you join us – it’s an excellent service opportunity!

ANCoR’s Outreach Committee traditionally reaches out to professionals and the community at large to make CoDA offerings more readily available. The focus is to provide them with current meeting lists and letting them know about the recovery tools available on the Arizona and the CoDA international websites. The committee may also staff a booth at health fairs in order to share the CoDA message in hopes of reaching codependents who still suffer. By clicking on these links, you can view CoDA’s public service video announcements in English and Spanish which are available for all to share on any social media platform.
