a California winery

… with a French twist

Bon Ton Napa Valley is a California wine company with a French twist.

The name “Bon Ton” along with our Jazz Age label artwork are derived from the French fashion magazine Gazette du Bon Ton, originally published between 1912 and 1925 in Paris. “Bon Ton” literally translates as “good tone,” but more broadly can also mean stylishness, good manners, or refer to fashionable society. Depicting the haute couture of top designers, the highlights of each edition of the Gazette du Bon Ton magazine were the ten to twelve fashion plates published in each issue. Our label represents one of these original fashion plates.

Beauty in all things.

Bon Ton Napa Valley isn’t your everyday wine brand. Our goal is to embody the values, aspirations, and interests of the millions of wine lovers who cherish and value the Napa Valley way of life. Our winery seeks to inspire, guide, and motivate those friends with a love of fine wine, food, beauty, culture and nature. We seek the creative in everyday encounters. We trust our instincts. We look for beauty in all things, then forget the rest. We don’t just sell wine; we craft experiences.

You will find us on the windy road up the hill from the highway to the long, soft beaches of California. The cool breeze, sea spray in the air, the scent of jasmine and juniper coming over the hill. There maybe a flower in our hair, a vintage Hermes scarf around our neck.
