About Us.

Side hustle turned full-blown passion, founder Sara RH Brooks spent 8 years facilitating workshops and training ad hoc before deciding to magnify her impact with a dedicated business.

Empowered by the “no-filter” personality of her mom, Sara established Brazen Works on the one-year anniversary of her mom Phenita’s passing. Inspired by the often repeated story that each encounter with the charismatic and defiant-for-a-cause Phenita as one that people would always remember. Sara was determined to infuse that bold, impactful style into her training and education programs - thus the name "Brazen."

.Brazen Works infuses the attributes of being impudently bold and unashamed with curated learning experiences that cultivate impact, transformation, and change. We weave “tell-it-as-it-is” principles with applied neuroscience, metacognitive strategy, and instructional design. Our workshops and course design strategy ensures that participants walk away with ready-to-apply tools and experiences designed to move attendees to the next version of themselves.

Our vision is that instructor by instructor, course by course, and student by student, Brazen Works will create a better society through impactful learning experiences.

Mission

Our mission is to curate learning experiences that educate, shift awareness and help people evolve into the next version of themselves.

Vision

To Create a better society through learning.

Don't Take Our Word For It...

MY WAY OUT OF A TWO YEAR RUT, 2017

"These classes aren't just teaching me how to become a good student, [the activities] might seem like laughably tiny steps for some people but honestly, this is the furthest I've come to bettering my college career and school habits since I started failing in first semester. I genuinely believe this class might be my way out of a two year rut...  Your experience in life coaching is evident when you snap straight to root causes and usually very accurately."

-J. Matias, Life Coaching Participant

I BETTER UNDERSTAND..., 2016

"After attending a parent-teacher engagement workshop, [I was able] to see things as it relates to the importance of the relationships needed to properly educate students; Moorish males in particular.  I better understand how much work it actually takes to foster positive relationships with the parent and student, and nurture those relationships so they grow to be beneficial to the student, parent and teacher.  It also allowed me the opportunity to view parental engagement through the "teacher" lens as well, and have a better understanding of some of the biases parents have against teachers, schools, and the public education system overall.

-J. Tubbs, Parent Participant

THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN RUBRICS, 2016

"Engaging! Insightful! Thought- Provoking! Dynamic! ...are just some of the words that come to mind when describing [the] workshops on cultural awareness! I highly recommend this for any educational or business organization!" -J. Linna, Dean, Ridge Park Charter Academy

THEY LEFT EQUIPPED, 2015

"Sara Brooks and Lamont Cole are an essential tag team of knowledge regarding cultural competencies in the classroom. Using applicable strategies and best practices, the teachers were empowered to create an environment that cultivates growth and student achievement-  both psychologically and academically." -L. Norris, Professor, Davenport University, Master of Urban Education
