Many say we have the best brisket around, why is that? No, not why do they say it, rather, what is it at Bubba Joe’s we do differently than the others?
First off, we’d like to believe its experience. Yes, our Senior Pitmaster is... err, getting old, and started learning the “Art” of barbecue in Louisiana back in the early 1980’s. Trust us, it takes a lot of mistakes to get to this point! Brisket was particularly difficult to master.
Next, we believe it’s the way we smoke and the type of equipment we use. We use our own custom built smokers and, we’ll say it and we’re damn proud of it, we use 100% real wood, PERIOD!
Nothing in our opinion can achieve the flavor profile of real wood. Using wood takes a lot of time to tend a smoker; every two hours means a lot of sleepless nights and it’s why Bubba Joe's is in Snydertown, it’s where we live.
Lately we’ve noticed many other BBQ operations using commercial electric or propane smokers. These smokers are set-and-forget as they use electricity or gas to create the heat and either wood chunks or wood pellets for smoke. We have used both electric and gas smokers, and find the flavor profile much different then what we achieve at Bubba Joe’s.
Now you know, a lot goes into Bubba Joe's Smoke BBQ. Our hope is the taste difference comes through and you really enjoy the flavor of our product! BBQ should be a GREAT flavor temptation!
