Annette has 30 years experience in education. She started her career in executive consulting and training in the corporate world in Europe. In the US, she has been working as a professional educator since 2015. Her sessions receive consistent 5-star ratings. Dr. Brians has conducted intervention tutoring in elementary and middle schools and currently serves as an elementary school teacher. In her most recent evaluation based on the Palm Beach Marzano Focused Model, she was rated highly effective with 4.8 points on a 5-point scale across five pedagogical competencies. Her passion is to lead her students to academic excellence. Annette holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Psychology, a Masters in Political Economics, and a Bachelor in Business Administration.
Scott is a certified teacher in the state of Florida. He holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Florida. His experience covers engineering, product development, business process analysis & improvement, sales, and business development. Scott's work spanned across industries as varied as energy, medical, manufacturing, and construction. In 2014, he started working as a professional educator. He is the program and content developer for Dr. Brians Languages producing French and German language learning courses. Scott specializes in math, science, study skills, critical thinking, and public speaking. He prepares students for AP math exams, AP science exams, the SAT, and the ACT.
Scott and Annette have home educated their three children since Pre-K. Their oldest is a National Merit Finalist, and their second oldest is currently going through the application process. They both scored in the top 1 % of their home state Florida and the top 1 % of the United States in math and reading. Their youngest has straight A's in high school.
With this academic and professional background, Scott and Annette challenge their students to personal and academic excellence. They foster a personal relationship with each student. They identify strengths and weaknesses. They emphasize critical thinking and thorough understanding of the subject matter. And most importantly, Scott and Annette love to teach and instill a love for learning.
