New Fav Jewelry Finds

I’m gonna make this short and sweet because let’s be real…I could go on all day about how much I love these simple pieces. But then you’d be bored and we’d lose one of the precious few of you who actually read our shit! #PLEASEDONTGO

So here we go! My fav new jewelry finds that you’re gonna need to go ahead and add to cart. The BEST news though?? Two of the items are from the Target Boutique (what I like to call it because it deserves more recognition for draining my bank account every month) and you can literally walk down the aisle and add to your little red cart in a matter or seconds. #WINNING

First up are these bad boys! Y’all. Do these earrings not SCREAM the word BEACH?? Anything beachy makes my heart smile and the neutral color means I get to wear them EVERY SINGLE DAY this summer And GUYS…they’re only 10 bucks!!! #addtocart

Another Target find that I’m living in are these two stacks that I put together to make this dreamy arm candy! Bad news is I can’t find them online and I don’t remember what I paid for them…GREAT news is they have a ton in store and I never spend more than $20 on jewelry from the Target Boutique!

And last but most def not least are these beauties! Now these aren’t from Target and they’re a little pricier. Anyone obsessed with Kristin Cavallari and her jewelry line, Uncommon James?? Yeah. Me too. Like it’s becoming a problem. For my husband…not for me. #letsbeclear

These are 3 separate necklaces that I ordered together because I fell in love with all of them and well…they look freaking fab together. I got them in gold, but they all come in silver and rose gold as well. Pick your poison. (The silver and rose gold seem to be on sale right now #justsayin) The choker will run you about $54, the middle one one will run you about $72, and the gold crescent will run you about $62.

THEN, how amazing are these??? So simple but with a little edge. They’re $56 but talk about HOTTTTT with your hair thrown up and these babies hanging from your lobes! My fav thing about them is how LIGHT they are! You literally can’t feel them to the point where I’m constantly feeling them up to make sure they’re still hangin in there. See what I did there?

That’s all for today gang. May your cart be as full as your wine glass!

Move Your A$$ (on Tuesday)

I always say, NEVER MISS A MONDAY. Well I missed Monday. So you know what I always say…NEVER MISS A TUESDAY.

To all 4 of our loyal readers (Hi, Dad), sorry for the lack of posting. Macale and I have both been working on getting our real estate license. Macale got knocked up (again), is trying to move, had her car broken into, phone broken…I think we can stop there. For me, well the classes, the kids, 2 jobs and a house that needs never ending cleaning just got the best of me. But, we’re back bitches. At least for today.

Here’s a workout for you. I did this last week while watching the first episode of the new season of Southern Charm. Shep…if you’re watching, I’m single married.  It was a great workout and I got caught up on my fav show. Winning.

EMOM (Every minute on the minute) for 30 minutes.

Even Minute: 10 Burpees

Odd Minute: Core Exercise

So basically, you are doing 15 rounds of 10 burpees and 15 rounds of core.

Examples of Core Exercises: Spidermans (knee to outside the elbows), regular sit ups, straight leg sit ups, plank, side plank, up down planks, bicycles, hip raises, scissor kicks, crunches, butterfly crunches, pulsing crunches…any type of core you love. I switched mine up, but you could totally do the same thing for every set.

And while we’re trying to get all healthy, here’s an easy recipe for you. Perfect for summer.

IMG_9337.JPG

Ingredients:

  • Salmon
  • Soyaki or Teriyaki Sauce
  • pineapple
  • sweet potatoes
  • asparagus
  • cauliflower rice
  • avocado

This looks complicated, but trust me, it’s so easy. First I cut up some sweet potatoes (with Olive oil, S&P) and get to roasting those in the oven at 425 degrees. For me I like them soft, so usually around 45 minutes. Then I throw the Salmon (marinated in Trader Joe’s Soyaki Sauce), pineapple (cut in rings) and asparagus on the grill. When the sweet potatoes have 20 minutes to go, I throw a bag of Trader Joes Cauliflower Rice in the oven with the potatoes, seasoned with Chili Lime Seasoning. Cut up some avocado. When everything’s done, assemble in bowl and devour. Seriously such a simple, delicious meal.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Today is the hub’s Bday, so excuse me while I eat all the cheesecake and think about how healthy I’ll be on Wednesday.

Move your A$$ Monday

Happy Monday Friends! My kiddos were out of school all last week on Spring Break. We camped, we ate doritos, and donuts, and drank lots and lots of beer. Needless to say, I need to get back on track, both eating and exercising. Thats really the only good thing about Mondays…a new week, a fresh start. Let’s do this.

IMG_9329

4 Rounds

100 Jump Ropes (if you don’t have a rope…pretend you do.

1 minute plank hold

30 Jumping Lunges

1 minute plank hold

50 High Knees

1 minute plank hold

30 Tuck Jumps

1 minute plank hold

And here’s an easy, healthy Trader Joes Meal for you. 3 ingredients. Couldn’t be easier.

IMG_9157IMG_9158

I cook the cauliflower gnocchi in a skillet with a splash of olive oil until its done and a little crispy. Turn off the heat and add some pesto. You could totally do marinara sauce too. Serve with a bag of Caesar Salad and dinner is served. Trader Joes, what would I do without you??

Have a great week y’all!

Napa Recap (Day 1)

Oh, Napa…I just love you so much. You did it again. Another great trip in the books and I’m already dreaming of going back. If you’ve never done a Napa trip, grab your buds and go. You won’t leave disappointed. I wanted to share what we did in case you’re looking for ideas.

First of all, we stayed in Napa at Best Western Inn at the Vines. You don’t spend much time in your room while in Napa, so we didn’t want to spend all our money on an expensive hotel. I’m so happy we went this route. The Best Western was honestly great…centrally located, cute, clean and everything we needed. You can def drop some cash on hotels/VRBOs/Bed & Breakfasts…I just don’t find it necessary. I would stay at the Best Western again in a heartbeat.

Day 1 was pretty simple to plan. I cannot recommend Napa Valley Bike Tours enough. This was my fourth time to do this and every time is just as great. I’ve only done the full day tour and it’s honestly worth every penny. They plan everything…you just show up and do some pedaling and wine is served. Their tour guides are the best and they take you to wineries you might not ever find otherwise.

IMG_0233.JPG

IMG_0165

First stop on the Bike Tour was maybe one of my favs from the entire trip. Cliff Lede Vineyards was awesome and it was my first time there (def not my last). It’s a pretty small winery but it’s super laid back and the focus is on rock n roll music which is so different than everywhere else. They played good music, their wine was on point and the grounds were amazing.

IMG_0106IMG_0107IMG_0115IMG_0119IMG_0126IMG_0163

Biking in between wineries is honestly the best. It’s easy cruising so not to worry, anyone can do it.

IMG_0160IMG_0227

Stop 2 was Andretti Winery. While not my favorite winery I’ve been to, it was still beautiful and our wine server was great. At this point we were all pretty hungry so lucky for us, this was the lunch stop. Napa Valley Bike Tours caters the BEST lunch. Delicious sandwiches and salad from Yountville Deli. This alone makes the bike tour worth it in my opinion.

IMG_0113.JPGIMG_0244.JPGimg_0232.jpgIMG_0124.JPGIMG_0234.JPG

Our last winery stop of the day was Silenus Winery. It’s a little different in that they have some of their own wines, but they also make wine for a lot of small wine makers. The wine tasting menu changes weekly which is kind of cool. You’re tasting wine from many makers so the tasting is super fun. Plus they have chocolates available for pairing with your wine…yes please.

IMG_0230.JPG

IMG_0109IMG_0120IMG_0122IMG_0168

After our wine tasting, we headed back to the hotel for a quick refresh and headed out to Oxbow Public Market for dinner. This is such a fun option when traveling with a group and everyone left happy. I wish we would have taken pics, but our thoughts were less picture taking, more eating. There are so many options within Oxbow but we all ate at C Casa, which had the most amazing Tacos. So Good. A few of us had enough wine for the day so we rounded out the evening with some amazing beers from Fieldwork Brewing. Honestly, I could have eaten here every night and had something different. Highly recommend. And it was less than a mile from our hotel. Best Western wins again.

Napa Day 2 coming up next. Hope you’re all having a fab week.

Five on Friday (Easter Edition)

Happy Friday Babes! This post is gonna be short and sweet cause Mama has 10 million things to do. This post is all about Easter, mostly because I keep forgetting it’s coming up and maybe this will motivate me to get Easter stuff done. Just another thing to add to my ever growing TO DO list.

ONE.

Easter will be here before we know it. Do your kids have Easter baskets…not those piece of shit ones from Target that get thrown away year after year…good ones? Macale and I both ordered THESE a few years back and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Sooo cute, even several years later.

WB_Seersucker_Pink__62242.1518055514.PNG

Personalized Easter Basket

I also really love this one.

Bunny Personalized Easter Basket

Don’t be a slacker and order one in time for Easter.

TWO.

Speaking of Easter and needing to be on the ball, THESE BUNNIES from the same company as the baskets are the perfect Easter basket filler. Both of my girls have them and I love that they’re personalized on the ear. There has never been one fight over whose bunny is whose which makes them my favorite stuffed animal we own. Plus they are Jellycats, the best stuffed animals EVER.

APC_0006.JPG

Monogram Bunny

THREE.

And if your kids are anything like ours, they love to dress the occasion, for any occasion. I hate spending a ton of money on holiday themed clothes so if possible, I like to buy this stuff from a little secret place I like to call Amazon.com. How cute are these bunny dresses? Bonus, they come in big enough sizes for both my girls so my matching obsession continues! Plus these are all $15 or less. #WINNING

FOUR.

Bunny Ears. Every year I buy them. My kids wear them into the ground and we always need a new pair. I saw these at Target and they are the BEST bunny ears ever. We need them in ALL.THE.COLORS. And you probably do too.

Reese’s White Chocolate Eggs

And because Easter just wouldn’t be Easter without plowing thru 10 a pack of these all on my own with a glass of white wine…this is the kind of stuff dreams are made of.

Happy Friday Friends! We made it. My kids are out of school next week for Spring Break so we’re pulling out our camper and heading South for a few days. Can’t wait for some outside adventures and most importantly, day drinking! Peace Out.

Hump Day

Hi Friends! Sorry for the lack of posting, but hoping to get back on track. We know you’ve missed us! Actually you probably haven’t but we’ll go with you have 🙂 It makes me feel better.

We just got back from the BEST EVER trip to Napa. If you’ve never been, you must go! Napa recaps coming at you next week. Until then, I’ll leave you with this pic of our group. It’s snowing in Park City today (again) so if I turn up missing, I’m likely hitchhiking right back to this spot.

D9043288-FAE1-445C-855C-F2B013FE75BD.JPG

Having wine everyday beginning at 10am was AMAZING…however, it’s time to get my ass back in gear. Here’s a quick little workout that I did this morning and I’m feeling better already. Do yourself a favor and get moving.

5 Rounds

20 Step Up Knee Ups (step up on anything…the opposite knee is coming up)

20 Tricep Dips (again, on anything…chair, bench, fireplace)

20 Squat Jumps

20 Burpees

And you’re done. Feel free to slay the day.

And here’s a quick dinner recipe for you…everyone in your family will love this and it couldn’t be easier. Pork Chops with Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes and Salad! IMG_8943

For the Pork Chops, I ALWAYS use a Sous Vide. Always. It makes cooking meat a total no brainer and everything always comes out perfect. For the pork chops, I throw them in a gallon zip lock bag with 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 TBSP Veg Oil, 4 garlic cloves, a tsp salt, &  1/4 tsp of oregano and pepper. I take that bag, and put in a large stock pot, and submerge…submerge the bag into the water to get all the air out of the baggie. Seal it. Put the Sous Vide in the water and set temp to 140 degrees. This can sit like this anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. Maybe more. When ready to eat, throw in a pan with olive oil to just sear the outside. They are fully cooked, they just need some color. When these have like an hour to go, I throw some cauliflower in a pot and boil. When done, I throw the cauliflower in my food processor and process until they look like mashed potatoes. Season with salt (a lot), pepper, and garlic powder. Then just add a bag salad and dinner is served.

Hope you’re all having a fab week! Coming back to reality after Napa is hard y’all. I did learn one thing…my day is exponentially better if it starts with a wine tasting. Maybe we should all incorporate this into our daily routine. It might make things like swing pushing and doll playing slightly more tolerable. Slightly.

Five On Friday

Made it to Friday. Barely. And I just found out my kids have Monday off school for no reason. WHY WORLD??

You guys. This weather. It’s killing me. While I know all the snow is good for skiing and our water supply, it’s not good for my mental well being. I’m dreaming of Summer and can’t wait for the warmer temps. This Five on Friday is all things warm temps and summer and sun and NO SNOW WHATSOEVER.

ONE.

I don’t go into Walmart often, but sometimes they DO in fact have cute, inexpensive things. Their Juniors Graphic Swimsuits are super cute, totally worth the $19 price tag. Here are 2 I saw in store and a few more I found online. I’m getting the “Feeling Beachy” one…def necessary. No try on pics. You’re welcome.

TWO.

Speaking of showing skin, and summer…always makes me want to get a tattoo. Macale has two, I have none. I just can’t commit. I can however do a Temporary One, and there are some SO CUTE ones these days. Def buying these, mostly b/c they’ll satisfy that tattoo longing so I don’t wake up one morning with a Unicorn on my forehead.

THREE.

Anyone else hate buying birthday gifts for friends? It’s a lot of pressure to come up with something worth giving. I was in an expensive boutique in Park City recently and saw the best, most fun gift ever. Only it was out of the “friend gift” price range. Not unlike any other day, Amazon saves it again. They had the exact same gift, only with a price I could stomach. I must have a big little problem b/c I think this might just be the best gift ever. Hint Hint anyone.

FOUR.

Moving on. I do have a fun winter escape trip planned for end of March that I’m so very excited about. It involves California and Wine. Lots and lots of wine. It cannot come soon enough. I’m always in need of a good weekender type travel bag. One that’s cute but also won’t stress me out when my chocolate melts in the bottom. Here’s a few contenders.

FIVE.

And because I’m 5 and not so secretly love JELLO, I’ll def be adding these to my weekend festivities. I mean, why wouldn’t I?

Irish Car Bomb Jello Shots

Pot O Gold Jello Shots

That’s it for today friends. I’m gonna try real hard today to NOT chop a finger off and it will already be better than last Friday. My plan for the weekend is drinking, jello shooting, not cutting off a piece of my finger, wearing green everything, making my kids wear green everything, day drinking on Main Street, eating Lucky Charms for every meal and all around hoping to be LUCKY AF.

Amazon Does it Again

Ok ya’ll. I don’t normally do dresses. Like at all. But this off the shoulder boho maxi is super cute, so comfy, and under 20 bucks on Amazon. I love the slits on the bottom and the length is perfecto for short gals like myself. I’ve also seen a pic of someone tall wearing it and it looks equally as fab! The sleeves don’t ride up and the quality is on point. Looking forward to throwing this on for an easy spring OOTD! I got the red, but it also comes in navy. It runs TTS, and I’m in a small.

Another thing I don’t normally do is floral….but here we are. I am LOVING this top! The material is so soft and I always feel like I’ve won big when I find a white top that’s not see through. You can dress this top up or down (the only way I know how) and it’s perfect for Spring and Summer. The material is super lightweight so you won’t be sweating like a pig AND the bell sleeves are adorbs! This one comes in a few different colors, including black, which I’ll be ordering STAT! It runs REALLY small according to the reviews, so I went with a large and I’m glad I did!

Also those Reef slides you see in that pic…OBSESSED. They are super comfy and they go with EVERYTHING! They come in black and silver, but I’m wearing them in Nude and it’s my fav. They run TTS and you will NOT regret having these in your closet!

Next up are THESE! I love a good pair of simple gold hoops, but THESE chic upside down hoops are so much more than that. They are open at the bottom, so lightweight, and look great with allllll the things! I got them in gold, but they come in silver and rose gold as well. Catch them on prime for about $20! #legitAF

And then there were THESE! I have to say, I own A LOT of fun tassel earrings and these take the cake hands down no questions asked! Every time I put them on I feel like I belong on the white sandy beaches of Mexico and who doesn’t love that feeling? I mean, really. These also come in other colors, but regardless, if you don’t order these you’re not really living. SO GO. NOW. THANKS.

Ok it’s been fun, but excuse me while I go hide all of the above so the hubs doesn’t start digging my grave. I love St. Patrick’s day and I’m not going down before I get to drink green beer #amiright Happy Hump Day and peace out!

Move Your A$$ Monday

Anyone else HATE this time change? It’s ruining my life. Here’s a workout for your Monday morning to hopefully make things mildly better.

Three Rounds

40 Jumping Squats

10 Burpees

20 Pushups

10 Burpees

40 Jumping Lunges

10 Burpees

20 Tricep Dips (on anything…think coffee table, chair, whatever you have)

10 Burpees

Done.

Make sure to give yourself a high five if you started that. And two if you finished.

IMG_8948IMG_8949

And cause ain’t nobody got time for Mondays, here’s a quick recipe that everyone has time for. I buy the Chicken Coconut Curry from Costco and it just heats up in a pan, chicken is already included. So good and couldn’t be easier. I use frozen cauliflower rice and roast in the oven on a sheet pan with the broccoli. And that’s it. Healthy dinner is served.

Hope everyone has a good week. I have high hopes. Last week was NOT a good one for me. All Week. I thought Friday was gonna be a good day, had a girl’s day brunch planned while the kids were in school and Mimosas were involved. While making a salad to bring to said brunch, I chopped off a piece of my finger. Like the piece was on the cutting board. So yeah, Friday involved stitches. Not good. Spoiler Alert: I went to the brunch first and drank my EFFING MIMOSAS.

Five on Friday (St. Patty’s Edition)

I have always loved St. Patrick’s Day. Any day where day drinking is not only encouraged, but actually mandated, is my kind of day. Sidenote: Day drinking is my jam. If you don’t like to day drink, we can’t be friends. Ever. Like if the world was ending in 2 days, that’s what I’d choose to do tomorrow. That’s how I’d like to go out. So, in honor of one of my favorite holidays, let’s talk my favorite St. Patrick’s Day stuff I found while looking around. I don’t want to get pinched so I’ve already scooped some stuff up.

ONE.

Most importantly, you need to wear green. Or you’ll get pinched. Or in my husband’s case at work, noticed…which is just as bad as pinched.

71pumWffEFL._UL1001_

Lets Day Drink Shirt

This shirt is so cute and will keep those pesky leprechauns away. Not to be confused with your children. They’ll still bother you.

61EC2upd4qL._UY879_

I’m Magical Tank

If you’re anything like me and work out in the morning and then you’re too lazy to actually change, this tank would be perfect. Plus it’s got a unicorn, a rainbow and a compliment about myself…all things I love.

61-ih-0ITsL._SY879._SX._UX._SY._UY_

Sassy Lassie Tank

Green, gold and can be in my mailbox in 2 days. Done and Done.

81+by5gtoyL._UL1500_.jpg

Shamrock Sweatshirt

While I do love all the shirts above, it’s COLD AF in Park City so a sweatshirt might be the ticket. With this shirt, I would def get less people asking me “where’s your sleeves” or “aren’t you cold?” or “you know it’s winter right?” These people need to mind their own effing business. I know it’s winter you douche bag.

TWO.

KMIF_Side_1000x

Goodr Sunglasses

If you’ve never owned a pair of Goodr Sunglasses, stop what you’re doing and buy some. Now. They’re $25, polarized, don’t slip off my face when exercising, even under sweaty, humid conditions and the names of them are hysterical. Proof: These are called “Kiss Me, I’m Shitfaced.” The name is printed on the sunglasses and something about having profanities on my sunglasses just makes me smile. So whether you’re doing a St. Patty’s Run, day drinking at a parade or just wanting to look super cool, these are money. Plus there is a 97% chance that I’d lose my sunglasses on a day like St. Patty’s (booze) so the fact that these are only $25 makes it hurt a little less.

THREE.

81pwpX+FOBL.jpg

Brooks Running Shoes

My love for holiday themed gear runs deep. I go to a local HIIT Class and the girls that teach the classes have been rocking these all month. Each day I see them, they become less of a want and more of a need. Most years I do a Pub Run on St. Patty’s Day and these would be the most perfect ever running shoes for such an event.

FOUR.

Let’s say you’re boring and won’t be drinking all day. I did this when I was pregnant. You might want to make some food. I’m not typically a fan of Irish food, but over the years, there are 2 things I’ve made that always hit the spot, aren’t gross and are perfect for the holiday.

DSC_01683.jpg

This Shepherd’s Pie from Iowa Girl Eats is easy and amazing. Want to make it low carb and healthier…sub out the mashed potatoes for cauliflower mashed potatoes. This will save you some calories for ALL.THE.BEER.

Chocolate Guinness Cake

It’s cake with beer in it and if you make this, everyone will want to be your friend. Proceed with caution. It’s delicious.

FIVE.

Additional things necessary to be festive AF. Because St. Patty’s Day would not be St. Patty’s Day without some cheap green crap that might as well be gold when you’re drunk.

713zQMgXMgL._SY679_

Green Essie Nail Polish

Love Essie Nail Polish and this green would be perfect for me and my girls.

Enough said. People will fight over these.

Unicorn Headband

Because I’d be a shitty mom if I didn’t buy my kids something.

91idTAOuRFL._SX679_

Shamrock Headbands

Well if I’m buying my kids a headband, I want one too. Again, these may look dumb now, but after a few drinks, you’ll want this. Trust me.

Well that’s it for today. St. Patty’s Day is next Sunday, so you have a weekend and next week to get your butt in gear. Also, this year St. Patty’s Day falls on a Sunday so NO EXCUSES PEOPLE. Drink your Irish Car Bomb, drink your green beer. We’re Americans. It’s what we do.

Peace out. Happy Friday.
