Waiting and Worrying

We’ve all been there. and maybe you’re there now. We’re waiting on a test result, a doctor’s appointment, an important meeting. Your mind is filled with negative thoughts. What if it’s bad news? What if it means my life will be turned upside down? Will I be able to handle it?  Waiting gives you time to worry. Waiting gives you time to think of all the bad things that could happen. Waiting makes time slow down.  We’re reminded of somebody’s advice to a worried person. “Don’t die in the chair,” he advised. “Do something.” Waiting for a moment to come can take the life out of you. Worrying about something that may come or may never come will not produce another outcome. Do something. Help someone. Give to another. Listen to a positive message. Get outdoors and go for a walk. Go out to lunch with a friend if you’re able. But do something. You will be much better off if you do.

Easter Sunday

Easter......A time of resurrection and hope and new beginnings. The graphic that we're sharing was found on the Hobby Lobby website. Click here for more information on their Donations and Ministry Projects.

Don't Give Up!

If you’re trying your best to endure a challenging time, you know how difficult it is to keep the faith. You start out with hope, but the setbacks come, and then, what happens to your faith? Much like an aging athlete who has to deal with critical reviews, your belief is tested. Is this the end? Is it time to give up? Remember that anyone can give up. Be strong. Keep the faith. As someone once said, "I want to see what happens, if I don't give up."

A New Beginning

What a great time for a new beginning! No matter where you are in life, it's not too late to begin again. Maybe you've been in a dark place, maybe a sickness has you thinking that there's no need to fight, maybe you're at the lowest point of your life. But anybody can quit. Anybody can just decide that there's no sense trying. Anybody can decide that it's too late. Don't be anybody. Be inspired by what one man endured and defeated years and years ago. Decide today to start believing!

Giving Thanks

Let this day be a time when we give thanks for all the good things in our lives. Let us pause, and reflect upon all the blessings that we have received in the past, and the hope that we will continue to receive them in the future.

Fall Asleep With A Dream

Someone once said, 'Fall asleep with a dream and wake up with a purpose." Such a simple but beautiful thought. Try remembering it tonight when you go to bed, and then tomorrow morning when you wake up.

A Beginning

Just as Christmas marked a birth, a beginning, this day can inspire a new start for you. Whether you need a new start to a relationship, a journey, or struggle, let this new day create a new spirit within you.

Live for Today, Look to the Future

Remember, each day is a precious gift and an opportunity to live your life to the fullest. Don't wait for tomorrow to start living the life you want - start today!

Fatigue

When we are going through a long difficult struggle, we get tired. Fatigue shows up, and the doubts appear. We wonder if we will ever get well, if circumstances will ever change. We might begin to believe that things will stay the same, no matter how much we believed before. This is the time that we must stay strong. This is the time when our faith is being tested. Don't give in to the fatigue and doubts. We need to focus on the finish line. As Winston Churchill said, "When you're going through hell, keep going."
