Dr. Erin Jimenez (she/her) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Johns Hopkins University. She received her BS in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at UCLA, received her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, and completed her postdoctoral work at the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health.

The Jimenez lab focuses on understanding gene regulatory networks involved in hearing regeneration. We employ genetics, genomics, and high-throughput screening. Our primary model organism is the zebrafish. We also explore questions in the mammalian inner ear using the mouse as a model.

The Jimenez lab is recruiting graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows. Please contact Erin if you are interested in joining our lab.
