Federico Firoozi

About Me

Hi, my name is Federico, and I do math. When I'm not doing math, I like to go outside and to learn new things like how to cook, code, play music, and fix stuff.

I speak English, Italian, and Farsi (Persian).

Academics

I am currently a math PhD student at the University of Calgary.

I completed my master's degree at Simon Fraser University, where I wrote a thesis on lattice path enumeration. I completed my undergraduate degree at University of Waterloo, majoring in Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics with a Specialization in Physics.

I have also participated in some awesome nerd camps when I was younger:
ISSYP at the Perimeter insitute for Theoretical Physics
QCSYS at the Institute for Quantum Computing
Shad Valley at the University of Waterloo
