Here’s what we’ve been up to.

The 2024 presidential campaign is heating up, and we haven’t been sitting still. The Biden campaign knows they can count on us to help as much as we can. We’ve been busy with:

  • Phone banks at Lori’s (stay tuned for more).

  • Rallies with Rep. Sarah Jacobs (CA), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (where our chair, Marcie Paul, spoke to the crowd), with many more to come.

  • A press conference to kick off MI Women for Biden and the kick-off of Out for Biden.

  • The opening of the first One Campaign office in Michigan with Mayor Duggan and Sen. Chris Coons.

  • An Oakland County Democratic Party meeting, where our founder, Lori Goldman spoke to about Fems.

  • The Save the House event Downtown with Gov. Whitmer, SOS Benson and Speaker Tate.

We need everyone to get involved; we have a lot of hard work ahead of us to save democracy. Watch for our newsletters with information about upcoming events and organizing activities, including our signature candidate speed dating events and forums; more surrogate rallies; voter contact activities like canvassing, phone banks, postcard writing and more. Join us whenever you can!

Stay engaged in 2024!

In this important election year, we need all hands on deck to make sure we re-elect President Biden, hold our hard-fought majorities in the U.S. Senate and State House, and take back the U.S. House, as well as elect other Dems up and down the ballot. There will be many ways to get involved: phone banks, canvasses, candidate forums/speed dating, fundraising activites, and more.

Fems for Dems is here to make sure we succeed in Michigan, and we need your support. As you know, we are an all-volunteer organization, and we need funds to make sure the doors are knocked, the calls are made, the texts are sent, the events are held, and more. Please click on the button below to donate. We will be forever grateful!

What is Fems for Dems?

Fems for Dems works to engage, educate and activate our communities. We promote and protect Democratic values and help get Dems elected up and down the ballot.

Plus we throw some really cool events featuring elected officials, authors and celebrities like Jane Fonda, Alyssa Milano, and “THAT Woman from Michigan.” You won’t find these experiences anywhere else. That’s why MSNBC’s Heidi Przybyla called us “a grassroots organizing powerhouse.”

Our core values

We are clear on the issues we support: paying a living wage, access to reproductive healthcare, voting rights, gun violence prevention, public education, protecting our environment, immigrant rights and LGBTQ+ rights. If you care about these issues, too, Fems for Dems is your home!

You don’t have to be “political” to be a Fem.

Don’t consider yourself “political?” No problem!
Fems for Dems creates opportunities for everyday people to find their voices, tap into their networks, and develop leadership skills. You’ll meet women and allies who care about the same issues you do, and you’ll have fun while making a difference.

How can you help Fems for Dems?

Please join our FB group, if you are not already a member, by clicking on the button below. Please provide your email when you join (if you aren’t already receiving our emails) so you will be added to our mailing list.

Also, in order for us to have the resources we need to continue our important work to elect more Democrats up and down the ballot, we would be so thankful if you could donate whatever you can by clicking on the DONATE button at the top of this page. We look forward to working with you!

In case you missed it, Gov. Whitmer appeared on The Daily Show with Michigan native Jordan Klepper hosting.
