COMMUNICATIONS

We maintain a well-equipped control room in our head office in Port Harcourt and planned same at our proposed offices in Abuja and Lagos. The control rooms are manned round the clock by competent and well-trained radio communications operators. All our beats have hand-held Radio Walkie-Talkies and are expected to send situation reports to the control rooms at 1hour intervals.

SUPERVISION AND MONITORING

In addition to constant communication with our beats and protected locations via radio, we also carry out physical monitoring of our guards using our fleet of patrol vehicles. Our Supervisors and Operations Officers carry out scheduled and unscheduled patrols to all locations to ensure that our guards are alert to their responsibilities.

Our management is committed to implementing the NIS 1SO 9001:2000 quality management systems in order to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements.

UNIFORM AND KITS

All our security operations are fully kitted with all the necessary clothing and equipment to carry out their duties. Uniforms are provided free of charge and are regularly replaced free of charge due to fair wear and tear. Our uniforms comply fully with government regulations. Our operatives are well kitted with:

EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE

Fionet adopts a strict selection process in employing our security operatives.
Our minimum requirements are:
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Secondary school leaving certificate and above
• Being healthy and able bodied
• Clean criminal record
Every employee must submit two guarantors and have their background checked before confirmation.

TRAINING ACADEMY

We have well equipped training facilities at all our offices where our operatives undergo initial 2week mandatory training in security operations and follow up training. We also do regular training for our supervisors to sharpen their skills. Our training programmes involve theoretical and practical exercises using appropriate models and training aids.

All our operatives must undergo a 2-week basic training course in security techniques before deployment as protection officers. Our training curriculum covers the following:
