Our Purpose
The USC Global Investment Society is the premier finance and investing organization on campus. We bring a unique buy-side focus to provide our members with unparalleled opportunities to gain tangible finance experience. Most importantly, we are built on a culture of curiosity, support, and paying it forward.
Investment Research
Investment Research is the premier division of GIS. With 5 teams across asset classes and industries, members create full-length investment pitches to present to the GIS community.
Investment Academy
The Investment Academy is a semester-long curriculum-based program that prepares students for a career in finance. Members take courses on accounting, financial modeling, investment research, presentation-making, and more as they work towards their final project. Successful graduates are invited to join the Investment Research team.
Mentorship Program
The Mentorship Program provides high-achieving sophomores mentors to guide them through the finance recruitment process.
GIS Explore
The GIS Explore program is an introductory course for students from all backgrounds and experience levels. Students will develop a strong foundation of finance and investing through roundtable discussions, lectures, guest speakers and more.
