How many careers give you the opportunity to work with like minded creatives, famous celebrities, directors, animators and photographers? How many give you the opportunity to travel the world and win trophies in Cannes, London and New York? Not many.

My 12 module online course is designed to harness your unique life perspective to get a foot into an advertising creative department. The course is hosted by me (Regan Grafton), a top ranked Chief Creative Officer with over 150 international awards to my name, including 39 Cannes Lions and 7 D&AD pencils. 

The course covers all advertising media, along with creative briefs personally set and reviewed by me via live online webinars.  

No experience or tertiary qualifications are required - the only thing that is requirement is your insightful mind. To apply you'll need to answer a creative brief (You'll find it under Enrol Now) and provide some examples of what makes you creatively interesting. Students are then selected simply on the quality of their ideas.

Course Outline Overview

Each week Regan will share a brief live with you and help develop ideas for your portfolio. The hour will also include live Q&A to help evolve and guide your thinking. All advertising mediums will be covered via online modules including - activation, PR, print, out of home, radio, film and digital. Most importantly, Regan will teach you how to think of insights that lead to campaignable ideas.

MODULE 1 - STORYTELLING
How advertising agencies work.
Understanding storytelling in ads.

In the first week of the course you’ll learn how the creative role fits into an advertising agency. You'll also learn the importance of story telling.

MODULE 2 - INSIGHTS
Understanding insights and campaign ideas

In this week we'll be focusing is on understanding insights and how they relate to campaign lines.

MODULE 3 - PRINT ADS
Testing campaignable thinking in print

To ensure you understand the fundamentals of a good campaign you will produce your first campaign in print.

MODULE 4 - DIGITAL ADS
Everything is digital

Regan will cover the strengths and range of the digital medium including social media.

MODULE 5 - OUT OF HOME
How to create great 'out of home' advertising

Regan will cover the strengths and range of the Out of home medium (static and digital)

MODULE 6 - PROMO/ACTIVATION
How to create Promotional / Activation ideas

Activation and PR is one of the most interesting and exciting mediums as it directly involves the consumer.

MODULE 7 - RADIO ADVERTSING
How to create engaging Radio ads

Regan will cover the strengths and range of the Radio medium.

MODULE 8 - FILM ADVERTSING
Testing your storytelling in Film

Regan will take you through what it takes to create a great piece of film. Examples will be shared.

MODULE 9, 10, 11 - BRIEFS AND WORKSHOP
Building your advertising portfolio

In this session Regan will set multiple advertising briefs to be executed across different mediums.

Live Q&A workshops will show you how to structure your thinking and give you the tools to attack the briefs.

MODULE 12 - PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION
Submission of portfolio and final feedback

Each student’s portfolio will receive feedback and tips to gain an internship.
