The five students who were shot on Friday at Schrom Hills Park during ‘Senior Skip Day’ are apparently out of danger and those remaining in the hospital are now considered ‘stable’. Some have already been released from hospital. If you have any information that might assist Greenbelt Police, please call 301-474-7200. The activity (not sanctioned by the schools) had attracted several hundred students from nearby high schools. Greenbelt Police were overseeing traffic and general behavior when shots were fired Friday, April 19 around 3 p.m. injuring five teens, one critically. Officers moved quickly to attend to the injured but the shooter took off with the crowd and has not yet been identified.
