Jennifer and Kelli initially met in grade school, but it was after college through mutual friends, motherhood, and similar interests that their friendship grew into something more. Both having grown up with a love in interior design, the partnership for Holden McRae seemed quite obvious when the time felt right.

Initially designing and decorating spaces for friends and family, the duo immediately saw a need for accessible design services at price points appealing for all. “Many people who want or need help designing their space will initially shy away from the idea of interior design services mainly because of the assumption that the cost will be too far out of their budget. We are here to show you that it absolutely is not.”

Following an individualized holistic approach, Holden McRae works diligently to get to know you as the client, learn your personal style, and collaborate throughout the entire process to create the space you have always dreamt of, and within your means and budget. With a knack for creatively mixing styles, textures, patterns and colors, as well as finding those affordable yet functional pieces, Holden McRae prides itself in executing your vision to become a reality.

Jennifer

Jennifer has always loved space planning and designing. Along the edges grade school loose leaf you will find drawings of her dream home and bedroom layouts for when her mom may ever let her redecorate it.

Having recently built her forever home with her husband, Chris, Jennifer designed much of the house herself, including the kitchen and bathroom layouts, fixtures and finishes, paint colors and detail work throughout the home. It was through the love of this process and knowing how and where to save money but still get the look she wanted, that she knew she wanted to be able to help others do the same.

Jennifer’s Personal Style:
All about fung shui, she also loves to add traditional pieces – such as a vintage Turkish rug or a set of Chippendale dining chairs- to modern design. Dubbed by her friends as a “professional shopper,” she has a knack for finding the steals vs. splurges and that “diamond in the rough” piece at a flea market off the beaten path.

Kelli

Kelli has a natural artistic ability that started with painting and art, and grew into decorating by the time she moved into her first home with husband, Landon. After working diligently to find her own style by redecorating her home and helping others do the same, she too knew this was something she enjoyed doing, and could make into a career.

Kelli has a knack for sourcing multitudes of options at varying price points to give clients exactly what they want. With a background in business, she too is the powerhouse of time management and also serves as the Holden McRae project coordinator.

Kelli’s Personal Style:
Kelli is all about eclectic, colorful and functional design. Kelli has an eye for mixing colors and textures to work cohesively as one, and adding touches to every room to make a house truly a home. As said by Jennifer, “walking into Kelli’s home reminds me of walking into Anthropologie. There is eye candy in every corner!”
