A bit about me
I’m James, a Brit who loves technology, innovation, learning and travel.
I started my IT career in early 2000’s and have worked across in-house and Professional Services roles.
Laterly I joined Cisco where I've been for eight years working in four roles:
- Data Centre / Cloud Solution Architect - Advanced Services
- Business Development Manager - UK&I Cloud Team
- EMEAR Solutions Architect - Global Systems Integrators
- EMEAR Systems/Sales Engineering Leader - GSIs, Consulting & Industry Partners
This path has provided me the opportunity to learn and develop new skills along the way.
From a technology standpoint I have expertise in many areas: applications, systems, networking, cloud and different-vendors.
I’m equally skilled leading business, commercial and partner / customer sales discussions.
A bit about what I do
I work in an EMEAR Systems / Sales Engineering Leadership role aligned to Global Systems integrators, Consulting and
Industry parters.
This involves leading a team of Solution Architects who support our partners to envision, create and sell market-ready
solutions / services / managed services that draw from the entire Cisco portfolio including:
Applications | Collaboration | Data Centre | Enterprise Networking | IoT | Mobile Networks | Security | WAN
Work spans technology, service creation, business value, partner enablement and sales; engagement ranges from C-level, to senior
management, technology leads and hands-on engineers.
This allows me to be creative, challenge the norms, teach, be a leader, learn, be part of a team, keep abreast of technology
and have fun!
