Criminal Ecology Trailer Released

2K Games have released a new trailer for Mafia 3, their upcoming open world action game. Titled Criminal Ecology, the video explains how the mob works in the game and how every branch is interconnected.

The whole game leads towards a final showdown players will get to choose how they want to approach taking down the mafia. There will be different mafia operations across New Bordeaux – taking these down will make the later stages of the game easier. You won’t be forced to play the side missions and activities, but choosing to tackle them will pay off.

For instance, when you’re working on weakening their construction businesses, you’ll get to interrogate foremen on the construction sites, who will give you new information. The info you acquire this way will help you draw out the underboss responsible for handling the business, giving you a clear shot at him. The game is supposed to be ripe with stuff like this.

Mafia 3 is set to release on October 7th, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. If you preorder it, you’ll get the Family Kick-Back pack as a bonus. This includes exclusive access to several items – namely, three cars and three weapons (a tommy gun, a shotgun and a sniper rifle).

E3 2016 Official Trailer Released

If you’re not there to watch it in person, you can take a look at the new trailer. It features every aspect of the game, from gunplay to driving and story elements, all condensed into a two minutes of footage.

Here’s the official press blurb:
There’s only so far down a man can go. Now one man will declare war on New Bordeaux’s Italian Mafia, taking it apart piece by crooked piece. Soon Sal Marcano will learn what it feels like to lose everything.
The game will take place in a fictional version of New Orleans, letting you take the role of Lincoln Cray, a man left for dead by the Italian mobsters. He miraculously survived and is now back with a vengeance. You’ll need to help him unite the smaller gangs under his wing and wrest control of the city out of the mafia’s hands. Expect lots of optional activities and side missions, car chases and gunfights around every corner.

Mafia 3 is going to be released on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 on October 7th. Preorders are already open, and if you decide to buy it before it’s out, you’ll get a pack of weapons and vehicles.

Family Kick-Back Trailer Released

It’s a weapon and vehicle pack called Family Kick-Back, and contains three of each. The video shows them in action.

It’s not much of an incentive, honestly. In games like these, most players change cars like they change their socks. The same goes for weapons. To each his own though. If the contents of this pack interest you, here’s exactly what you’ll get:
  • Lassiter Leopard – the orange muscle car
  • Smith Moray MX 100 – the elongated, Bond-looking one
  • Berkeley Stallion – another muscle car
  • Gator Shotgun – a shotgun with aligator skin on the stock and grip
  • Camo Sniper – a rifle with a scope, wrapped in camouflage tarp
  • Trench 1938 Submachine Gun – a standard Tommy gun
It’s not much, but if you were already planning a pre-purchase, it’s a nice extra. The game is going to be set in a New Bordeaux, a fictional version of New Orleans in the late 1960’s. You’ll get to play a betrayed man out for revenge, going after the Itallian mob. Your goal will be to ruin them and take over the city.

Thomas Burke Trailer Released

look at the main characters. This time, it’s Thomas Burke’s turn. The short promo will give you a bit of insight into the Irish mobster’s hopes and aspirations, if you’re interested.

Truth be told, the video is quite underwhelming. It shows no new gameplay, and also reveals very little about the Irishman. He’s got a temper. He’s been wronged by the Italian mob. He has a moustache. The description posted alongside the trailer is equally unhelpful:

A lifetime of drinking, gambling and running rackets in “Bourbon City” has taken its toll on the man and the Irish mob he runs. Then the Italian Mafia muscled into his territory. But how long can a man be pushed before he starts pushing back?
We know that Burke will be one of your three lieutenants and that you’ll be able to give him control over certain parts of the city. In return, he’ll provide you with hired thugs to do your bidding. A gameplay video shown earlier also revealed he’ll get quite upset if you give more turf to the other underbosses.

In this installment of the Mafia series, you take on the role of former Vietnam soldier Lincoln Clay. The story is set in 1968, in the city of New Bordeaux (re-imagined New Orleans). Help Lincon Clay build a new crime organization and confront the Italian mob.

The World of New Bordeux - Weapons Trailer

gameplay trailer in the series of The World of New Bordeaux videos, called Weapons. It’s packed with action sequences and many weapons that we will be able to use in the game. The new trailer features John Donovan as he testifies before the U.S. Senate Committee regarding Lincoln Clay’s involvement in taking out criminal bosses in New Bordeaux.

John says that Cassandra was the main supplier of weapons for Lincoln, since she had her own weapons smuggling ring. She had all kinds of Black Market weapons, such as assault rifles, pistols and many more. Cassandra is also known as the voodoo queen and she is a member of the Haitian Mob. In the trailer we can also see a grenade launcher, silenced pistols and sniper rifle with a night vision scope. The mobile weapons dealer and his red van will always be available for you if you need to restock and resupply.

The leader of the Irish mob, Thomas Burke, is also in the trailer. He will supply Lincoln with all kinds of explosives, such as Molotov cocktails and powerful C4 charges. As you can see, you can put a C4 charge below a car and blow it up from a distance for some creative kills. Mafia 3 will feature shotguns, handguns, automatic weapons, rifles, special weapons and explosives.

Cassandra, Thomas Burke and Vito Scaletta are Lincoln’s underbosses, and they will help him take down the Marcano Crime Family. When you capture a district in New Bordeaux, you’ll get to chose which underboss will take control. You should try to balance the control and appease all three. Keep in mind that one of your underbosses can turn against you, if they don’t agree with your decisions.
