Jon Howell has a multidisciplinary background. He is a lawyer, writer, artist, and former computer programmer. As a programmer and artist, he has collaborated on projects that showed in art galleries and a digital art piece called Proxy that was exhibited at the Whitney Biennial in New York. He’s worked at NASA’s JPL developing technology to visualize Mars using satellite topographic data. Besides working on legal cases, he works on fiction and film.
Today: pages 31-36
Got to page 31 today. Started at 28. I want to get a first draft of this thing done before the end of May. Let’s say I need another 70 pages. That’s about 1.75 a day for the next 40 days. I’m doing the vomit draft thing. So only forward movement – no looking back.

Today got in 5 pages so far. It got me thinking about outlining and writing. I think outlining is helpful but it can also be a delay tactic to not write.
