Kae Anderson, CPACC

Welcome, I'm glad you're here!

I'm Kae, your friendly neighborhood inclusivity professional.

My name is pronounced like the letter “k” (but if you pronounce it a different way I won’t mind).

I’m an inclusive design consultant, and I help businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives make your websites accessible and inclusive.

You want the right people to find you and your work. I facilitate that by offering opportunities to enhance your current website. That way everyone who visits will feel welcome.

Between 20 and 25% of people are disabled. Making sure sites are accessible is the right thing to do, and it’s also the right thing to do for your business.

What I’m good at:

  • Focusing on the experiences of people, rather than rules

  • Inclusivity that goes beyond accessibility and includes things like designing for anxiety or trauma-informed design

  • Working with design teams (including designers, content specialists, and researchers) to bring inclusivity in from the start

What you can expect from me: enthusiasm, exclamation points, encouragement, and education!

What I don’t do:

  • I’m not a designer or a dev

  • I’m not a tester (but I know people who can help you with that!)

  • I don’t do group training, webinars, or workshops

What you shouldn’t expect from me: rants, rules, or reprimands

My experience and education:

  • I’ve worked on accessibility and inclusive design at two Fortune 100 companies

  • I have certificates from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, the Center For Humane Technology, and the University of Indiana’s School of Public Health

  • I have a Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology, and I’ve done bootcamps for UX design and front-end development

Accessibility can seem intimidating. I love making it feel doable. And with me on your side you can focus on the things you do best!

I'm open for new clients - feel free to email me to get started.
