Keep Cascadia weird seeks to spark a community movement organically. Our vision is to champion a regional community that is diverse, prosperous, and in harmony with the natural environment.

To make this vision a reality, Keep Cascadia Weird’s Massive Open Online Course platform provides Cascadians free courses and exclusive content from our regional university and community college partners. Our objective is to provide our learners the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to foster a regional community that is harmoniously sustainable economically, socially, and environmentally. As a result, our local businesses, co-operators, and nonprofits will be heard worldwide! Community ownership and support of our local business and nonprofit organizations will produce a sense of belonging and feelings of being understood. No more will anyone have to ask or guess, “what is Cascadia?” We, the people of this great green land, will shape our community and economy to be fair, innovative, and environmentally sustainable. Co-op Learning

The KCW uses co-op learning to help students accomplish shared goals. Students are matched together based on their interests and abilities; additionally, the software helps students to listen, share ideas, make comments constructively, and carry out decisions democratically.

Project Fundraising

After graduating, Students will have the opportunity to fundraise for their ecovillage and weird business projects with KCW’s unique crowdfunding platform!
