Our Goal
This platform provides the service for those vulnerable individuals or small businesses who are involved in civil lawsuits. It helps them find the right groups, professional lawyers, or whoever would offer assistance by the way of putting their stories, sufferings, or legal documents online. It helps prevent judicial corruption and promotes impartial justice by putting the cases under the supervision of society.
Service Details
1. Upload your stories. When you think you have to take legal action for your issues, but you don’t have a lawyer and you are not sure if your case was strong enough to launch an action, publish your stories here before doing anything. Your stories would be noticed by the right people. If your case was strong enough, those legal organizations and groups, professional lawyers, or whoever may offer assistance would come to you!
2. Upload your legal documents. Whether you are a plaintiff or a defendant, you have a lawyer or you are a self-represented litigant, publish your legal documents here. Then your case is under the supervision of the whole society. This can effectively help you achieve justice fairness. Especially in the circumstance that the other side is powerful with a strong background and with a strong lawyer. There are opportunities for those self-represented litigants to find lawyers who would help at this period.
3. Upload the video of the hearing. Ask the court the permission to record the video of the hearing, and put the video, together with the court decision and your views on the decision. Then, your case is under the supervision of the whole society for a long time. It supervises the court decision process.

Overview of my Story
City of Markham awarded the contracts of the service for Markham public library to my business in a bidding event on June 20, 2014. We didn’t realize that our low price broke out the balance between the library’s demand and standard budget. Library paid the previous vendor twice as much as ours. This resulted library's Chinese materials were overflowed, and the budget was decreased by City greatly.
In August 2015, MPL suddenly terminated one of the contracts, a one-off contract for an opening service, that would be performed in the completion of a new branch in the future, with the term of “termination without cause”. After terminating this contract, MPL gave it back to LSC secretly.
At the end of 2015, because the construction of the new branch was sped up, MPL was caught unprepared by a request from City to begin to prepare the materials for the new branch. MPL was unable to have two vendors that providing Chinese materials at the same time for technical reasons. So it terminated our other contracts serving for 6 branches on Jan. 27, 2016, and prepared to give all those contracts back to LSC. I had to appeal to the City council committee for the illegal termination process.
To escape responsibility, the director of the library’s administration and the City’s contract buyer drafted a report to the City committee behind my back on March 23, 2016, to smear my business. City sent me a termination notice on April 18, 2016.
My business took legal action on May 5, 2016, suing defendants "for wrongful termination”, asking for “specific performance of the contract”. Defendants argued that City had the right to terminate our contract “without cause”. So our action was dismissed by the court. Because all my business' damages passed on to me, I made a lawsuit on behalf of myself against the City of Markham and MPL on July 29, 2018, for the damage. However, his justice ignored completely the defendants‘“termination without cause” in the previous action. My action was dismissed with a cost. Now, I am appealing to his justice Sossin J .’s judgment.
