Madam Waste is a unique company that takes pride in its Afrocentric approach to waste management. We incorporate traditional African values into our business practices, including community involvement and respect for the natural world.

  • Multidisciplinary in Character

Our team of experts from various fields works together to address waste challenges faced by communities, businesses, and industries. From designing sustainable waste reduction programs to providing eco-friendly disposal solutions, we cater to diverse waste management needs.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Africa’s population is expected to double in the coming decade. Growing industrialisation and a young population will see urbanisation rate increasing, as well as waste generation and energy demand. The proliferations present exciting opportunities to change the narrative of energy access in urban areas.

    Our VISION

Advocate for decentralised clean energy systems in rapidly urbanising African cities through circular approaches.

    OUR MISSION

To realise Goals 7, 11 and 12 of The UN’s Sustainable Development plan.

    WHAT WE DO

We promote Circular Economy through tailored system design and harness opportunities across the organic waste value chain.

“Knowledge is a garden. If it isn’t cultivated, you can’t harvest it”
    African proverb

    Our Commitment

The United Nations developed 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 to address global challenges and ensure that no one is left behind. We are committed to sustainability and focus on SDG Goals 7, 11, and 12.

    No. 7

Access to clean and safe cooking fuels and technologies, renewable energy beyond the electricity sector, and increased electrification in sub-Saharan Africa are areas that require focused attention.

    No. 11

Cities and metropolitan areas are essential for economic growth, but they are also responsible for over 70% of global carbon emissions and resource use, leading to inadequate infrastructure, worsening air pollution, and unplanned urban sprawl.

    No. 12

Sustainable consumption and production focuses on promoting resource and energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructure, access to basic services, and green jobs. By implementing sustainable practices, we can achieve development goals, reduce costs, increase economic competitiveness, and alleviate poverty.
