What isn’t fair?

Before bribery via lobbying and unrestrained political donations became legal, 80% of Americans believed the government worked in all our best interests. Today that number is flipped and now 80% of us don't trust our Government nor our representatives. Our government isn't working. What's changed?

Unprecedented inequity in the power of the monied voices and current laws have made it so that money is speech and Pay-For-Play politics has become the accepted norm. Lots of money allows us to speak loudly. Lack of money forces us to whisper. This isn't something written in our Constitution, but only interpreted by judges over time. Do you think the engine behind the judges interpretations were poor whisperers or the shouting super wealthy?

Currently our government represents a very small group - those who are able to influence government via their wealth. The corrosive effects of money in our political process is a clear threat to our democracy. Equity is key.

At Make it Fair we strive to identify and discuss the many ways money has not only influenced government, but also popular opinion. We welcome you to join in the dialogue.

Many Americans have become resigned to our corrupt system and are saying "That's just the way it is", however, we’re here to say "That's just the way it's structured". Let’s change the structure. Let’s Make It Fair!
