Best Sister in the Whole Wide World!! She might be a homebody, but when called upon she can be the weirdest in the room! Also mother to our Ring Bearer, Kade, and one of the flower girls, miss Lyla “Lulu”.
Everybody’s been asking “why Key West?”, but we prefer the question of “why NOT Key West??!!” With family coming from both sides of the country we’ve been planning on a destination wedding since day one. After thoughts of various locations to have the best party EVER, Key West seemed like the best fit. It has something for every one, whether you want to relax on a tropical beach, dance and drink with the locals, or get adventurous on a boat or scooter, this place has it all!
There are plenty of bottles of champagne waiting to be popped – all we need are your lovely faces.

The smartest girl in the room, I call my Best friend. Since our show choir days in middle school we’ve been stuck with each other. She’s the only one to visit me everywhere I’ve gone, from Vegas to Orange County, even Bakersfield and finally LA. My Sister from another mister! Join her on the dance floor cause you won’t find her being any type of Wall flower!
My Soon-to-be Sister in law is definitely the better looking of the two ;) I’m getting pretty lucky in the marriage game, especially with her. Another smart and fun girl, she’s always up for a good time!
The first time I came to Key West I was with this girl, and lets just say it was memorable! We played college soccer together at UNLV, and she is not only smart and beautiful, but she has always been someone I can count on. Speaking of which, if things get too uncomfortable, I can count on her to laugh us through it.
UPDATE: Courtney is unable to make it – expecting baby #2!
This sister in law is the coolest! Mother to our other beautiful flower girl, Miss Emily, she’s the best add on to the Kuhne family a girl could hope for. Her ultra laid back vibe combined with the fact that she’s also smart and beautiful, how could you not love her?!
As a travel companion extraordinaire, Nate has helped to fill in several passport stamps and created countless laughs and memories. Our legendary jaunts have taken us from the tents of Oktoberfest to the pubs of Dublin and even to the hot, hot, hot beaches of Jamaica, Mexico, and the Bahamas. You may find him at the bar or in one of the many pools and fountains on property at the Wedding, but wherever he is a good time follows.
Troy is a man with a unique perspective and ability to keep any party going. I’ve been chewing a lot of gum to strengthen my cheeks for all the laughing that is going to happen with this guy around during Wedding weekend. Whether he’s masquerading as Troy Anthony, Professional Snowboarder or trying to slaughter softballs this nutball keeps the energy at a high point. If someone can make sure the Hemingway cats don’t get his dinner that would be much appreciated
Chris embodies the world traveler spirit and has been the ultimate Vegas companion on at least 7 different occasions. He was a phenominal study-buddy during our time at UCSD. He can put a positive spin on anything and can rock a 15 year old cowboy shirt better than anyone. Let’s not hold the fact that he’s a Bronco’s Season Ticket holder against him! Ariba, abajo, al centro….
Don’t let his size fool you, this former Gold Gloves Boxer can drive a golf ball over 350 yards. Aaron hails from New York State and calls Oxnard, CA home now. Aaron and I have been friends for six years and I was beyond honored to officiate his wedding last year. He is one hell of a cook, especially when it comes to Italian food and cooking for his friends and family. I’m not sure how he’ll feel without PBR at the reception, but certainties in life include death, taxes, and Ferrari taking advantage of an open bar.
UPDATE: this pretty lady will be protecting momma at home, practicing her Big Sister skills.
Miss Emily, daughter of Courtney and Wesley Kuhne, isn’t afraid to show up the boys! She’s got no fear and with that cute little smile and big brown eyes, she hard to say no to. like my momma use to tell me, You Go Girl!
AKA “Lulu” had trouble in April with letting go of the petals she was supposed to throw, instead she was such a good helper that she picked up all the ones her brother was trying to throw from her basket. This time around I think her inner wild child is going to shine through! Rock it LULU!
This little man has some practice walking down the isle already. Starting at the young age of one and followed it up with leading his own mom in April, this time is going to be for his favorite Aunt ;) Strut with Style ’lil man!
This will be his final walk down the isle, as he “gives away” his baby girl. The best role model a girl could ask for and is the real life version of “The Most Interesting Man in the World”. After the festivities you can find him at the nearest Starbucks, that’s his spot!
This one of a kind woman definitely knows how to have fun. I’m sure she won’t be keeping her chair warm when the music starts as this will be her last wedding as Mother of the Bride/Groom. She’s always been the most supportive of my adventures and definitely the loudest cheerleader in my corner! I can only hope that “I get it from my Momma!”
Dad is a man of few words, but countless ideas for how to improve any situation. He has been a fantastic travel companion to Wrigley and Lambeau and is always been a great source of advice and information. His timing is so good that he managed to crash the first time Brie and I hung out (and here we are!). While I’m sure he’ll be on the lookout to keep everyone safe, grab a drink with this man and swap some stories.
Mom is the most genuinely caring role-model a guy could have. She has been counting down the days to this celebration as she gets to see her favorite son all growns up. In fact, she even wanted this picture posted so you could all see that neither of us have aged a day. With Mom on the scene no one will go hungry. She is a most gracious host and everyone that has been blessed enough to enter her home knows she goes beyond the call of duty to make everyone feel welcome. Don’t worry, Mom, I’m saving a dance for you! :-)

Wish you could teleport to the beach? Us, too. Here are the next best options.
You can either fly to Fort Lauderdale or Miami, and drive about 4 hours into Key West (which is a beautiful drive and surprisingly quick). Or fly into Key West, but you will have a layover in either of those 2 cities most likely.

We have a block of rooms at the Lighthouse Court. This is a boutique hotel with about 40 different rooms of varying sizes and rates. The hotel is directly across the street from the Hemingway House and has a great patio and pool area that we plan on taking over with our guests. Please reach out to them ASAP while there are still rooms in our block.
If you want to look other places, feel free but understand most chain hotels are a few miles from the venue and will require transportation.
