Our Optometrists

Teresa Maria Grillo, O.D., is a board-certified optometric physician and founder of Mobile Eye Care of Maryland.

After 18 years of owning private practices in conventional settings and working in nursing homes to supplement her practices, Dr. Grillo saw the need to provide eye care to individuals who cannot leave their residences or are receiving care in various types of facilities. She found that in these practice settings, there is an abundant amount of eye conditions which require medical treatment or glasses. These eye conditions are often neglected, as patients are undeserved primarily due to their immobility or inability to verbally express their vision issues.

Dr. Grillo strives to give her patients the same quality of care one would find in an exceptional eye clinic with the latest technology and equipment. Her goal is early detection and treatment of eye diseases in the hope that this will result in preserving her patients' eyesight and enriching their quality of life.

Dr. Grillo received her BA degree in Foreign Languages and Literature at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. She received a BS degree in General Science from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA.

"It brings me great joy to serve patients who otherwise whould not have access to high-qulality eye care.  Our eye doctors work passionately and thoroughly to preserve the sight of our patients.  We are the voice of patients who may not be able to express that they are experiencing vision issues. Correcting these issues can be transformative in their lives. "

Our Mission image
Because good vision is integral to the highest possible quality of life, it is our mission to provide optical services to patients for whom transportation needs and physical limitations make traditional doctors' visits difficult or impossible.

Our goal is to prevent blindness, enhance vision, provide greater comfort and enjoyment of life to the patient and preserve vision through timely intervention of eye conditions.  When vision is maximized, seniors are safer, more independent in daily activities and less demanding of the staff that cares for them.
