Quality, farm-fresh eggs

Myler Agribusiness Inc. is a private corporation in Zamboanga City. The company's primary business is the production and distribution of quality farm fresh chicken eggs.

PURPOSE: To produce nutritional yet affordable food that will result to providing bountiful economic opportunities, putting into consideration the need for PROFIT to sustain the business, PEOPLE's welfare while caring for our PLANET.

THE PROCESS OF EGG COLLECTION

With every step involved, Myler ensures the quality of each egg delivered to the customer's table.

Myler houses chickens in well-ventilated structures and source quality feeds from a nationally reputable company. This ensures that the birds are healthy throughout their lives, thereby minimizing the need for antibiotics which ultimately leads to eggs that are safe for human consumption.

The eggs are collected from the houses automatically and transferred to a centralized Egg Sorting area via a series of conveyor belts and egg lifts. This minimizes the breakages and contamination brought about by unnecessary handling which usually occur in manual collection.

An employee monitors the collected eggs before it goes to the egg sorting machine, checking for undersized, cracked, and stained eggs and removing them from the collection. These eggs are not sold commercially.

The eggs are then sent to a state of the art egg sorting machine and are sorted based on weight - Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, Jumbo, and Super Jumbo. The weights are based on the Philippine National Standard - Table Egg Specification published by the DTI. This ensures that all Myler eggs are sorted objectively so that the customers get exactly what they paid for.

After being sorted and placed in egg trays which are also produced by the company to avoid contamination, the eggs are packed in boxes specifically made for egg transport. The boxes, once fully loaded, ensure that the eggs inside are secure and have minimal play in order to minimize breakages during handling, piling and transport.

The newly packed boxes of eggs are picked up by different distributors or delivered to retail outlets.

CARING FOR OUR PLANET

Myler Agribusiness collects the manure produced by the chickens and sends it to an onsite Biogas Digester to harvest the emitted methane gas. This is then used to produce electricity using a biogas generator. The use of this green technology allows the company to minimize its impact in the surrouning air and water. It also minimizes the growth of flies in the neighborhood typically brought about by the manure.
