ABOUT MY ART
Art is my therapist. Every Stroke, splatter and drip marks a moment of release. Art is the avenue in which I explore myself, my existence, and my emotions. Each piece is a moment of self discovery, a way in which to motivate myself or simply a way to relieve the stress of everyday life. Some paintings may originate from darkness or a place of negativity but through the process of making art I am able to let go and create something positive.
I'm a painter of colorful commotion. I paint the colorfully sewn noise tattered tones and muses of my beautifully messy existence. Each piece is emotionally layered with an improvised noisy solo of drips and splatters that move in and out of a structured chord progression of feelings and thoughts. This creates a sense of movement and musicality that connects each subject to, and breaths life into, the environment in which they visually exist.
In addition, I often use depictions of colorfully tattered characters and muses to inspire, motivate, and express feelings of happiness, love, lust, frustration and absurdity. However, the emotional release of the external and/or internal noise that bombards us everyday is often more important than the idea. The meaning is then left for the viewer to ascertain. Either way I aspire to paint cathartic visual drugs that evoke emotion and help heal the soul.
