Staff Appreciation Breakfast
The Annual Back to School Staff Appreciation Breakfast is an event where Chamber members come together to sponsor tables with decor and gifts to welcome back the school staff. Each year we serve breakfast and celebrate around 250 school personnel. This event has taken place for over 15 years.
Sweet Owen Day
Sweet Owen Day in Owen County’s annual fall festival. Held every year on the third Saturday in September, it hosts retail vendors, food vendors, musical entertainment. The day begins with a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Rotary Club and a 5K Fun Run Walk. There is also a kids zone with games and inflatables as well as a Cornhole Tournament. The event is held around the courthouse square.
Chamber Marketplace
Chamber Marketplace is an annual event held at the Owen County High School. It’s holiday shopping opportunity that features our local merchants and makers as well as some from surrounding communities This event also showcases Owen County’s service providers and offers food.
Christmas Parade
The annual Christmas Parade is held the first Sunday in December. It departs from Southern States and follows a route down Roland Avenue finishing at the Court House. There is a float competition and Santa is available for visits with the children. The day concludes with a community worship service in the upstairs court room.
