“Mm, you’re so soft.” Shane hummed as he hugged the farmer, resting his chin on her shoulder. The two of them were sitting on the couch as a fire crackled in the fireplace. The farmer leaned her back against his chest.
“You’re pretty soft too.” she said with a smile.
“Soft and squishy, that’s us,” Shane said before poking her belly. “Squish, squish.”
“Shane! Stop that!” the farmer said as she squirmed in his arms, but she was laughing as she did so.
“Hm, nope. Don’t feel like stopping,” SHane said with a cheeky grin, now bringing one hand up to poke her cheek. “Squish.”
“Do I need to get you one of those squish toys so you can mess with that instead of me?” the farmer asked, turning to give him a glare without any real malice behind it.
“But you’re so much more fun to poke.” Shane said before leaning in and giving her a quick kiss.
“You’re just trying to get on my good side now, kissing me.” the farmer said.
“Is it working?” he asked.
“Hm, I don’t know yet.” she said, smiling at him knowingly.
Shane took the bait and gave her another kiss. Then he lifted her arm and pulled back her sweater to give her wrist a kiss. Without warning his last kiss turned into a razzberry.
“SHANE!” the farmer shrieked as she yanked her hand away.
“Hahaha, I couldn’t resist!” Shane laughed before a throw pillow she thrown in his face.
“See if I try to enjoy a nice cuddle with you on a snowy day again!” the farmer huffed as she stood up, but her easy smile quickly returned.
“Aw, don’t be like that, come back.” Shane said.
“You just want to share my blubbery body heat.” the farmer said before downing the rest of her mug.
“I have enough of my own blubber. Come on.” Shane said, holding out his arms.
“Maybe I can be convinced if you say something sweet to me.”
“You’re amazing and I love you. I still don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
“Hm, better up your game.” the farmer said, slowly walking away.
“Aw come on.” Shane said, turning his head to follow her.
“Be sweet to me~”
“You know I’m not good at words.”
The farmer simply hummed a little tune in response as she entered the kitchen to clean out her mug.
“Babe, come on,” Shane pleaded. “You’re beautiful and smart as a whip. I don’t think there’s anyone more tenacious than you. I would be lost without you. Come back here and let’s cuddle. You don’t want me to be lonely here on the couch, do you?”
“Hm, alright. I suppose I’ll accept that,” the farmer said as she made her way back over to the couch and planted a kiss on his cheek. “Just no more razzberries.”
“Scout’s honor.”
