Peter Stevens Thiele, lovingly referred to by friends and family as Pete, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023, at home in Salisbury, MD, at the age of 75. Born on March 18, 1948, in Yonkers, NY, Peter’s journey was one marked by dedication, humor, and an unwavering commitment to those he cherished and loved.

A proud alumnus of Purdue University, Pete channeled his passion and dedication into a successful career with Jostens, Inc. for over 40 years as the sales representative servicing the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.

His professional life was complemented by an active association with Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and a long time member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Peter’s life was a testament to love and service. He found joy in the simplicities of life, whether it was casting a line while fishing, sweeping his metal detector across a beach in search of treasures, or enjoying a leisurely game of golf. He had a great sense of humor that resonated with everyone he met and was known for his caring and compassionate nature, always prioritizing others before himself. He was the epitome of a family man and is survived by his wife, Marcia Thiele, and two sons Peter Jacob and Ryan Charles.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Janice Thiele; his brother, John Henry Thiele Jr., and sister Nancy Fiscella. His legacy is cherished by his two surviving sisters Katherine Thiele and Susan Zabriskie.

Remembered as loving and thoughtful, Peter’s absence will be deeply felt my many. His unwavering love and the selfless way he approached life will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
