Dr. Boris Zaretsky, DPT

Dr. Boris Zaretsky is a leading specialist for non-surgical intervention and management of joint diseases and sports related injuries. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy.

Dr. Boris Zaretsky held a Clinical Director position at the Rehabilitation Department at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He is a certified Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association and holds special certification in shoulder injury and post operative care.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Tel Aviv University, Israel and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University in New York. He currently holds active licenses to practice Physical Therapy in the state of New York and New Jersey, and his office is conveniently located in the heart of Manhattan.

As a passionate snowboarder and former freestyle wrestler, Dr. Boris Zaretsky understands how proper body biomechanics help ensure safe and optimal athletic performance from professional athletes to weekend warriors.

Dr Boris is BY FAR THE BEST PT in NEW YORK CITY!! He is kind, compassionate, extremely educated, caring and very kwoledgable and a straight shooter. His approach is DEF one off a kind. He gives you one exersice to do, cause he KNOWS if he gives you 3 you will end up only doing one or MAYBE 2. And THAT aproach WORKS!! I have seen him on numerous… occations in the past 2 years with different injuries (shoulders and both knees) and he will ALWAYS either fix you or refer you for futher evaluation ie. MRI or Specialist. His staff are all very friendly and helpfull. The office is EXTREMELY CLEAN and tidy. Furthermore does he only have 2 therapy rooms so he does not overload himself with patients. It was an unforgettable experience. At first the friendly reception staff will warmly greet you together with Dr. Boris who will carefully listens to you. I simply explained my lower back pain and introduced a copy of my MRI to the the doctor. After he understood my condition, he worked with a super positive energy and reduced my pain level from 8… to 3 by the second session. Clinic is large, very modern, and very clean. Multiple treatment rooms and all equipment is excellent condition. Overall also very welcoming.Dr Zaretsky was great! He’s an expert! Very knowledgeable and confident. Listened to my issues and looked at X-rays. Dr. Zaretsky is a doctor in the truest sense of the word; he takes one look at you and sees what’s wrong, what is needed, and what can be done. He does all the assessments and correctives himself, and isn’t interested in having you come back for as long as possible– he gives you a realistic prognosis, and works hard (and makes you work hard as… well) for the best possible outcome.I came for what I thought was a mid-back problem, got told it was in fact a neck issue, and discovered Dr. Zaretsky to be absolutely correct. My mid-back pain is gone, and on top of it my posture has quite literally never been better. Dr. Boris is very knowledgeable, kind and understanding. He is also very personable and makes the visits peaceful and easy. He addresses your concern and gives an executable plan.The office is very modern, large and clean (It must be a brand new office).
