BUILDING ONE HOUSTON

As Houstonians, we have so much to be proud of–our strong economic growth, our world-class universities, and our incredible cultural diversity.
But, despite these strengths, only 10% of our children graduate from college, 15% of our families are trapped in poverty, and thousands of our fellow Houstonians are homeless.
I am running to enact policies that provide every community with economic opportunity, ensure a high quality-of-life for every Houstonian, and protect every neighborhood from our next flood.
Together, we can build One Houston where we can all live and thrive.
We all love Houston because of its diversity, its can-do spirit, and its generosity.

This is the Houston I have lived. As a first-generation Indian-American, I experienced Houston's opportunity as the city helped my family live its American Dream. As a teacher in an underserved school, I saw Houston provide opportunities for my students to escape poverty. And, as a non-profit leader, I witnessed thousands of Houstonians ready to help their neighbors.

I am running for Houston City Council to represent this beautiful version of Houston. The Houston that welcomes everyone. The Houston where we all help our neighbors succeed. The Houston where hard-working people can live their American Dream.

So, I am asking you to join me, as we build a movement to prepare Houston for the next generation and to ensure Houston shines ever more brightly.

Education for Underserved Communities

As someone who taught at an underserved school, I know first-hand how tough it is to create a successful education system without enough resources. And it's truly sad because I've had several students share their experiences with me about how education has helped them build a better life. One of my more important goals is building a more engaged community when it comes to educational upliftment.

Economic Growth

My father came to America with a few dollars and a dream. He was able to build and provide for his family. I want to bring about the same scale of economic growth to fellow Houstonians through effective job creation strategies and embracing diversity in our economic ventures.

Community Initiatives

Houston is all about community. Here, we help our neighbors succeed. With my experience leading a non-profit, I've seen how crucial a community is to the growth and betterment of the city. I want to bring impactful civic engagement and establish strong social networks with the help of Red Houston SEO Agency to aid and support needy people.

Flood Preparedness

As a fellow Houstonian, I know of our resilience during calamities and natural disasters, but we should never take the community for granted. Pushing for improved infrastructure to mitigate flood risks and quicker response of local authorities for effective disaster management are key areas for me.

Urban Development

Houston is a city for everyone. My goal is to build on this inclusivity and create green spaces and community areas that focus on the well-being of our citizens and the environment. Another critical area of focus for me is accessible housing solutions for everyone. Houstonians, I know how challenging life can be sometimes - I want to change that!
