Chandra Farley, Founder & CEO
Chandra Farley is an activist at heart and credits her parents with instilling a sense of duty to always do what she can to advance justice and fairness. With a passion for elevating the connection between environmental stewardship, strong communities, and our daily lives, Chandra continues to build upon a career foundation in the design and construction industry that informs her perspective on built and natural environments.
Chandra is known as a national leader and subject matter expert on issues of energy, climate, and environmental justice. As the former Just Energy Director at the Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE), Chandra became a highly sought-after speaker, op-ed writer, advisory member, and coalition partner on local, state, and federal campaigns. Currently, as the CEO of ReSolve, she serves as principal consultant and strategic thought partner focused on building relationships with grassroots organizations to move the needle toward transformative change. Chandra also founded the “Good Energy Project” with a mission to connect the transformational power of Black Women to the movement for just and equitable clean energy.
Chandra is the Co-Chair of the Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice Advisory Board, chair of the Georgia NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Committee, a graduate of the EPA’s Environmental Justice Academy, President Emeritus of the Environmental Justice Academy Alumni Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for Community Movement Builders, Georgia Conservation Voters Education Fund, the People’s Justice Council/Alabama Interfaith Power & Light and Greenlink Analytics.

On February 12, 2019, Chandra Farley presented witness testimony to the House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources for the hearing - CLIMATE CHANGE: PREPARING FOR THE ENERGY TRANSITION.
On April 20, 2021, Chandra Farley presented witness testimony to the House Subcommittee on Energy for the hearing “Generating Equity: Deploying a Just and Clean Energy Future.”

WE ACT coordinated a delegation of Environmental Justice Leadership Forum members to travel to Washington, DC to defend NEPA “THE PEOPLE’S ENVIRONMENTAL LAW.” Many members spoke at the Defend NEPA rally and delivered public comment before the Council on Environmental Quality on its proposal to update the National Environmental Policy Act on February 25, 2020.
