I offer beginner instruction that helps you learn the fundamentals of fly fishing. Our “Learn to Fly Fish” instruction includes everything that you need to know to successfully fly fish in a fun and safe environment!

Fly Fish for Wild Trout

I offer guiding in locations that have wild trout. Many of these locations offer a semi-remoteness to them and open up a new world of fly fishing.

Fly Fishing

Legend has it that fly fishing has it’s origins in ancient Macedonia where fisherman used a fly made from feathers and wool to catch fish. Modern day fly fishing has its roots in 14th and 15th century England, where 14-15 foot poles were used with horeshair line and hooks (angles) with feathers to catch trout.

Tenkara

Tenkara is a Japanese form of fly fishing. It originated in the mountain streams of Japan 400 yers ago, and was used successfully by commercial fisherman to catch trout. Tenkara translates to, “from heaven” because the flies appear to the trout from heaven.
