Trekking starts and finishes at Senaru Village with an overnight stay at the Crater Rim.

DAY 01: Senaru Village (601 m) – Senaru Crater Rim (2641 m)

• • The trek starts in the morning. Along the way, you will stop twice for a short rest; before stopping for lunch at Post 3 (2000m).
  • The trail initially passes through tropical forest, but as you climb higher it becomes open rocky, grassland; and the trail becomes increasingly steeper.
  • You will arrive at Senaru Crater Rim (2642m) at around 4pm and will find your campsite all ready for you.

DAY 02: Senaru Crater Rim (2641 m) – Senaru Village (601 m)

• • Wake up early, enjoy the sunrise and a leisurely breakfast before starting down to Senaru Village.
  • You arrive back in Senaru Village at approximately 1pm; from here you will be taken to your next destination.

After a short drive from Senaru, trekking starts at Sembalun Village taking you to Crater Rim Sembalun, and then up to the Summit. The trek finishes in Sembalun Village.

Day 01: Senaru Village (601 m) – Sembalun Village (1100 m) – Crater Rim Sembalun (2639 m)

• • From Sembalun, the trail starts in open grasslands as it winds up the mountain.
  • You will stop twice for a rest before having lunch at Post 3 (1800m).
  • From Post 3 the trail becomes steep as you climb up to the Crater Rim Sembalun where you will camp the night. 

Day 02: Crater Rim Sembalun (2639 m) – Rinjani Summit (3726 m) – Crater Rim Sembalun (2639 m) – Sembalun Village (1100 m)

• • A light breakfast is served at 3am before starting the challenging three hour trek to the summit (3726m). 
  • You arrive at the summit in time to enjoy the sunrise; after a short rest you return to the campsite at Sembalun Crater Rim where you have breakfast and a longer rest before starting down to Sembalun Village.
  • You arrive back in Sembalun Village at approximately 1pm, from here you will be taken to your next destination.

After a short drive from Senaru, trekking starts at Sembalun Village taking you to Crater Rim Sembalun, and then up to the Summit. As you descend, you will have time to explore the shores of Lake Segara Anak which is inside the crater and enjoy the hot springs. The trek finishes in Senaru Village.

• • A light breakfast is served at 3am before starting the challenging three hour trek to the summit (3726m). 
  • You arrive at the summit in time to enjoy the sunrise; after a short rest you return to the campsite at Sembalun Crater Rim where you have breakfast and a longer rest.
  • The trek then continues and you descend into the crater where you swim and relax in the hot springs.
  • After lunch on the shore of Lake Segara Anak (2000m) you continue the journey up to the Crater Rim Senaru (2641m) where you will have dinner and camp for the night. 

DAY 03: Senaru Crater Rim (2641 m) – Senaru Village (601 m)

• • Wake up early, enjoy the sunrise and a leisurely breakfast before starting down to Senaru Village.
  • You arrive back in Senaru Village at approximately 1pm, from here you will be taken to your next destination.

Trekking starts at Sembalun Village taking you to Crater Rim Sembalun, and then up to the Summit. On your descent you camp overnight at both the shore of the Lake Segara Anak and also the Crater Rim Senaru. You will have time to explore the shores of Lake Segara Anak which is inside the crater and enjoy the hot springs. The trek finishes in Senaru Village.

  • The trek then takes you down into the crater to the shore of Lake Segara Anak (2000m) where you will have lunch and also camp at night.
  • The afternoon is free to explore, swim and relax in the hot springs.

Day 03 : Lake Segara Anak (2000 m) – Crater Rim Senaru (2641 m).

• • After breakfast you will walk further around the lake and start the climb up to the Crater Rim Senaru where you will have lunch and a short rest.
  • You can camp the night on the crater rim; or if the wind is cold and you still have energy you can keep walking and spend the night in the forest at a more sheltered campsite. 

Day 04: Senaru Crater Rim (2641 m) – Senaru Village (601 m).

• • Wake up early, enjoy the sunrise and a leisurely breakfast before starting down to Senaru Village.
  • You arrive back in Senaru Village at approximately 1pm, from here you will be taken to your next destination.
