I spent the first 22 years of my career as a commercial studio photographer. During time out of the studio, I supplemented doing freelance work for outdoor and travel clients. This allowed me to build an extensive library of stock photographs in a variety of subject areas. I offer them now at a competitive price for a wide-variety of uses. If you're an author or a publisher with a book project, bring it to me. I've worked with independent authors and with publishers that don't have the staff or the time to complete the project themselves.
I'll take the time to listen to your ideas of what you want the piece to look like; what you want it to convey to the reader.
I'll put together a concept for your approval. Once a design is approved, you supply the text and any artwork/images and I'll put together the cover and pages, do all the layout, type-setting, paste-up, image editing, and provide files that are press-ready for your chosen printer, providing proofs at each step of the process.
I work on an hourly fee. I'll provide you with cost analysis so there are no surprises.

Sharing
what I've learned
By no means do I consider myself an expert. However, I've been doing this for awhile (desktop publishing and book production) and have learned a few things along the way. I offer a quality product at a fair price. I'm always looking to learn more and will gladly share what I've learned.
I know a Blog is suppose to have a regular schedule of updates. Don't count on it here. I'll try really hard to post new material at least once a month (hopefully the first Monday of the month). If that works for you, come back.

Typography is the core of book production and as such worth spending time to understand.
