The Landgrave Robert Daniell Society is an historic and benevolent society dedicated to the memory of its remarkable and colourful namesake. Pious nobleman, sea captain, jurist, legislator, governor, and military commander, His Excellency Landgrave Daniell did honour to God and his distinguished ancestors, leaving his mark on the British colonies of North and South Carolina. He was instrumental in the development of the feudal government and society in the Carolinas. His descendants expanded their fortunes and faithfully served the Crown. After the American War of Independence, they primarily remained with their lands in North America and continued the family legacy through distinguished service and accomplishment.
