Scott Hays Music
Scott Hays was born in Southern California, where he grew up listening to such iconic bands and singer-songwriters as Jackson Brown, The Eagles, Poco, Merle Haggard, Crosby Still Nash & Young, John Fogerty, Bruce Springsteen, and Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys. Scott taught himself to play guitar and piano in high school, and only within the last year or so has he started to write his own songs.
He has no interest in producing a CD, being a performer, or starting a band and going on the road. His only interest is in the craftsmanship of songwriting: chord structures, melodies, lyrics, etc. To this end, he realizes that he has miles and miles to go before he would ever consider himself a songwriter.
