We have assessed the challenges of phone charging micro businesses in Nigeria and come up with a solution: SolarTel, our solar phone charging kiosk:
- SolarTel is a photovoltaic solar system which produces electricity from the sun- this is called “productive use of renewable energy”
- SolarTel is ready-made to provide electricity for charging 30 phones per day to full charge, equipped with a battery that keeps the business running for two full days without sunshine.
- SolarTel is simple in production and requires almost no installation. It is rugged for outdoor purpose and does not need much maintenance.
- SolarTel saves energy and reduces carbon emissions.
- SolarTel does not produce any noise or health hazards.
- SolarTel increases micro-business’ revenues and thus creates more income
