The Nail Bar experience starts at the door with a breath of fresh, non-toxic air. After checking in with our beauty team, we’ll have you select a beverage of your choosing from our café menu that you can sip free of charge with any nail service. Once you’re seated, you’ll consult with your nail tech about color and design, nail shape, and any add-ons or enhancements you selected at the time of your booking. Sit back and relax – or, spill the tea if you’ve got stories to delight and entertain! Our hand-picked professionals have been trained to provide exceptional service and leave you feeling gorgeous and fulfilled.
Non-Toxic Pledge
The Concept
South of the 6 is a fully non-toxic nail bar and event space. Belly up to the mani bar or sink into a pedi chair for some self-care.
We are passionate about clean beauty and a clean work environment. We apply non-toxic regular polish from Dazzle Dry and gel polish from The Gel Bottle which cures under a safe LED lamp. All polishes are vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, not tested on animals and ethically made. Our tools are sterilized in a hospital-grade autoclave after each use; our files and buffers are one-time use. Here at South of the 6, you can breathe chemical-free air and feel good about the non-toxic products we feature in our treatments.
We are women owned and operated and love supporting other female owned businesses, including the makers of our high quality polish lines and products in our retail boutique.

So why a cafe and a nail salon? A Nail Bar should be experiential. An Espresso bar is experiential. Both should be places we go to find our center, to convene with our thoughts or with our friends while indulging in something small. Both are places we go to accomplish something (a manicure at a salon, consuming a beverage and maybe a few emails at coffee shop). Both should be places we go to appreciate the vibe and feel energized or inspired by our surroundings. Both are places we go to sit for a while. Both are communities.
