Weekly Worship

WORSHIP SCHEDULE

Sundays -

During the academic year, we offer Holy Eucharist at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.  We worship at the Historic Union Church, 1004 11th Street, Port Royal. In addition, a livestreamed service is offered via a link found above and on the Worship page of this website. On Sundays during the academic year, a class is offered for children aged K-lower elementary during the 11 a.m. service. Children meet in the Center for lessons based on the scriptural readings assigned for that Sunday. This brings the lessons for parents and children together so that families may discuss and explore them as a family.  Following the class, children will be escorted to church to join their parents during the Peace. A year-round nursery for infants and children through age 3 is available during the 11am service. The nursery is located in St. Mark's Center, 1110 A Paris Ave., Port Royal.

Wednesdays -

HOLY EUCHARIST

St. Mark's offers a weekly Eucharist on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the church.  This provides a relaxed alternative for those absent from home on the weekends.

LITURGY

St. Mark's provides service bulletins so that all can follow the readings and prayers taken from the Bible, The Book of Common Prayer, and other approved liturgies of The Episcopal Church.

MUSIC

Hymns during services are from both The Hymnal 1982 and its addendum Wonder Love and Praise.

Sacramental Offerings

BAPTISM

Baptism is one of the primary sacraments of The Episcopal Church.  Through full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit we become members of Christ’s body, the Church, creating a bond that is indissoluble.  Baptism is appropriate for any age. For further information and to schedule a baptism, please click here.

MARRIAGE

One of the most challenging and rewarding of human relationships, marriage is meant to be lived out in a community of faith where it can be nurtured and supported by others. For further information on marriage in the Episcopal Church and a wedding at St. Mark’s in particular, please click here.
