About Us
Who we are
It started with an idea: could we get founders from all walks of life to meet over breakfast and exchange ideas on technology, share best practices helping others reach their business goals and foster connections amongst members who would share tools, insights, and opportunities that would mutually benefit those around them? For two hours starting at 8AM, nearly 20 people answered the call. Leveraging this braintrust, The Village Collective was born.
The Village Collective’s mission is to empower underrepresented startup founders of color by providing dedicated skills training, thought provoking programming and value additive networking. We embrace the age old saying “it takes a village” by pooling the resources of our community sponsors and supporters to elevate the entrepreneurial ambitions of our “villagers.”
