As a new dad working in the ambulance service, whilst also studying law part-time I knew I had to do something, or risk being too busy to enjoy watching my son grow up.

I was getting sick and tired of having my life dictated by an employer who didn't care about my time. I was told when I would be working, when I could take a vacation and worse still that I would have to work the holidays.

And after all of this, I still ran out of money each month.

That's when I decided enough was enough. I needed to take action.

I knew that hoping things might change wasn't enough. I had to chase the change.

I decided to commit 1 hour a day to building a side hustle. I wanted to make $500 extra each month so I could say no to overtime.

I also knew that if I could learn how to make an extra $500 online, I could double it and make $1000, then $2000 and eventually I would be able to quit my job.

I didn't want to be a dad who looks back and wished he had had more time with his son. It would have been too late then.

I started by watching hundreds of youtube videos and purchased lots of training courses.

I felt like I was spending money I didn't have, and using spare time that could have been spent with my son.

If I was starting out fresh again I would find one mentor, one business opportunity, and master just one method of building my business.

Then I'd go all in. I'd commit to spending a minimum of 6 months working consistently even if 10 minutes a day is all I could spare.

Looking back I'd tell you that all of my failures come from one thing... impatience.

I wanted to make money online and I wanted to make it now.

I had massively over-estimated what I could achieve in a day, week and month but I had massively under-estimated what I could achieve in 6 months.

I don't believe in get rich quick schemes, but I do believe that with consistent effort anyone can make money online.

I used to hate signing up for more information only to be shown a paywall asking me to part with $$$. The business I build costs $9.95 a month.
