Councilman Shoemaker is a lifelong resident that is proud to be a third generation Councilmember. He graduated from Carl Brablec High School in 1981 and attained an Associates Degree from Macomb Community College.

Councilman Shoemaker is actively involved in the community, as he is a member of St. Pio Church, Roseville Optimist Club, Roseville Goodfellows, Roseclair Eagles, and fourth degree Father Solanus Casey Knights of Columbus. Currently, he is a sales agent at a Roseville real estate company and is a former AFSCME Local 520 City employee.
