This site explores a new definition of budget travel.   The limited commodity in this case — time.

During my 15 years traveling around the world with a global communication and public affairs consultancy, my desire to explore was frequently constrained by my work schedule.   So I became an expert at “weekend exploration,” exploring the environs of my new temporary homes during my various postings.  I also got creative in appending a day or two to business trips.

I’ve started this blog to share my experiences — both in the hope of inspiring other weekend travelers, and providing tips and resources where surprisingly few exist.

See you at the weekend crossroad!

Jennifer – This is Awesome! I dream of the day that I can check out some of the locations. My priorities are Jakarta and Bandung.
