Our Kinship

Is built on an intergenerational commitment to support girls and femms

Xinachtli Comadres National Collectiva seeks to address structural and traumatic root causes of poor health and educational inequities impacting Indigenous, Chicana, and Latina girls and their communities through a culturally rooted, healing informed practice within select communities across the nation (anchor organizations) that begins with providing girls with healing and empowerment opportunities ultimately impacting their agency.  The Xinachtli Comadres National Colectiva is anchored by community facilitators across the country.  The following 3-5 year vision for the collective was developed through the visions of community-based Xinachtli facilitators and advisors.  

MISSION

Xinachtli Comadres National Colectiva is an extended kinship network centering Indigenous, Chicana girls and Latinx youth vitalizing a commitment toward equity and empowerment through healing informed leadership for wellness and systems transformation through:

Indigenous values and rites of passage teachings for youth

Culturally rooted campaigns for prevention & health justice through girls’ leadership, voices and agency in healing-informed strategies based on equity and social justice.

Critical femm building spaces for kinship and allyship building between Xinachtli facilitators and advisors through community exchanges, tools, technical assistance and healing retreats for youth and adult facilitators meaningful

Creative communications strategies for youth leaders to connect and transform harmful narratives, amplifying girls' voices while promoting social and emotional transformation
