Some of you may know me – I’ve been around for some time !

The founder of The Ministry of Yoga –  a beautiful and custom built Yoga centre where I still hold my classes since Shelley and Dan have taken over the reigns when I decided to let go of the business side of things and concentrate on teaching Yoga.

Originally from South Africa with a gymnastics background, I came to the U.K. in 1999 as a fitness instructor working in health clubs in and around Crewe.

Down the line, I decided to specialise in Yoga (and Pilates) and following training I held a four year position of Yoga coach at Premier League West Bromwich Albion and Crewe Alexandra Football Club, embracing and sharing the physical side of Yoga in both training and rehab for sports people and non-sporting people.

Pursuing my interest in the physical side of Yoga I continued to hold classes in gyms and church halls and for the runners of South Cheshire Harriers.  In my classes and 1-2-1’s I worked with sprinters, and ballet dancers, people recovering from back surgery and brain surgery – my reward is seeing everyone improve and recover in their own way.

I have personally used Yoga to recover physically and mentally from illness and injury.

Yoga is an endless journey and the more I keep learning and discovering the more I develop my own style of Vinyasa Flow (linking movement with breathe) I feel my classes are suitable for all – I currently have a mixture of people and ages and abilities and shapes and sizes and cultures!  All who have taken time to use the beautiful practice of Yoga for the health of their  body and mind.

The hour long session will take you through a flow of physical postures covering all areas of the body and includes balance, strength, stretch, mind focus and relaxation.

Easy to follow classes where there is something for everyone – there are options for beginners and intermediates alike, for the adventurous and the not so adventurous – my favourite phrase is “it’s not a competition”  Let Yoga work for you personally and nobody else, as we are all so different, never compare yourself to anyone around you.

In a nutshell the ultimate goal of Yoga is to create freedom in the body and therefore create freedom in the mind.  The more you practice the more you will want to practice, the more you will reap the benefits – Namaste x
